Before she can back away, Neril’s fiancé blocks her escape routes and blackmails her crew into a suicide mission. Sent as deniable assets into hostile territory—the corrupt, high-corporate cradle of Earth—Jazmyn is ordered to kidnap a high-value asset tied to the sabotage. What she uncovers is a full-blown conspiracy to crush the Outer Rim. But Jazmyn is just a pawn, as back in the Outer Rim, the Deveron faction is waiting to weaponize the fallout to facilitate a boardroom coup.
It is a dark tale of corporate infighting and cold vengeance, where independent crews are chewed up for profit, and the executives in the boardroom are about to find out exactly how long a grudge can burn.
